Steps toward restoring normality and preventing clashes from recurring in Ain al-Hilweh were taken Monday by Palestinian leadership in Sidon, after a meeting at the Palestinian Embassy in Beirut.Gen. Subhi Abu Arab, which will allow the joint Palestinian security force to monitor the security in the camp. A specialist committee was also set up to liaise with Lebanese authorities and arrest fugitives in the camp, headed by Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Sidon Maher Shabaita. UNRWA resumed all its services within the camp Monday, while announcing that Sept. 7 will mark the first school day within the camp.
