Energy and Water Minister Cesar Abi Khalil said Sunday that the Lebanese government was prepared to file a complaint with the United Nations if Israel violates Lebanese territory while conducting oil and gas exploration.Earlier this year, Israel proposed a bill in parliament which redrew the disputed maritime border between Lebanon and Israel.Although Lebanon has no proven oil and gas reserves, both Israel and Cyprus have proven gas fields, indicating the likelihood that some reserves might also be found within the Lebanese borders.
