Information Minister Melhem Riachi will refuse to follow protocol and read Cabinet's statement after this week's session if the Lebanese Forces are not satisfied with the outcome, local news channel MTV reported. The session, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, is expected to deal with the matter of Prime Minister Saad Hariri's on-hold resignation. It is customary for the Information Minister to read Cabinet's statement following each session. The Lebanese Forces last month denied that its leader Samir Geagea had attempted to replace Hariri in compliance with Saudi interests, after local daily Al-Akhbar published a story alleging as much.
