President Michel Aoun is drafting suggestions to put forward at an upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit on occupied Jerusalem in Istanbul Wednesday.Aoun accepted an invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the emergency OIC summit in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.Speaking during a meeting with the South Korean president's chief of staff, Im Jong-Seok, Aoun said that he will call on leaders of countries participating in the summit to discuss the need to take measures to preserve the Arab identity of Jerusalem, which he said was a city of all religions. However, Berri praised the position taken by Lebanon during the Arab League foreign ministers' meeting in Cairo Saturday, when Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil called on Arab countries to unite on the issue of Palestine and Jerusalem.
