During a meeting Saturday with a Lebanese journalist beaten by an Internal Security Forces officer during a recent protest near the U.S. Embassy, head of the force Maj. Gen. Imad Othman said the incident was limited and carried out by officers under attack from protesters. Othman met with Future TV journalist Rabieh Shantab who was beaten and manhandled by police while covering protests against American President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel last Sunday.
