Prime Minister Saad Hariri met with a French delegation Monday to discuss preparations for an investment conference aimed at jumpstarting the Lebanese economy, set to take place in Paris next year. Hariri met with Pierre Duquesne, the interministerial delegate for the Mediterranean in charge of the preparations of the economic conference referred to commonly as Paris IV, a media release from Hariri's office reported. French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Faucher and Hariri's adviser for refugee affairs Nadim Mulla also were present.Separately, Hariri said Monday that the government must work to implement its National Strategy for the Prevention of Violent Extremism, which the premier inaugurated in July.
