BEIRUT: Military intelligence Wednesday arrested a Syrian national wanted for belonging to a terrorist organization. The man, named as Muhammad al-Abd, also known as Hosni al-Zayyim, was responsible for an attack on Lebanese Army personnel and Internal Security Forces, during the battle for Arsal in August 2014.
In a statement, the Army described Abd as a “terrorist chief.”
Security services arrested Abd after finding him hiding in a secret room in his house in Arsal.
He was handed over to the judiciary for further investigation.
