Snow will fall in the early hours of Christmas Day, settling on Lebanese villages and fields sitting above 1,300 meters, the meteorological office predicted Thursday.Rainfall will be at its heaviest Sunday, and gradually decrease, dying out sometime Monday afternoon, adding up to an accumulative 60 millimeters of rainfall.Despite expectations of a rainy Christmas, a source said there was an overall decrease in rainfall in Lebanon this year. Rainfall over the weekend, the source added, will be accompanied by a drop in temperatures over the course of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, especially in the early morning.
