On the fourth anniversary of the assassination of former minister Mohammad Chatah Wednesday, Prime Minister Saad Hariri said he hoped that Chatah had been by his side during one of the most difficult crises of his political career. Hariri described Chatah as having been his companion through difficult times, saying that with every year that passed he further felt the void that Chatah left behind.A senior aide to Hariri, Chatah was killed during a car bomb in the Beirut Central District on Dec. 27, 2013 .Hariri went on to praise the late minister, saying that his political mission aimed at protecting Lebanon from "political recklessness and from the madness of using arms in internal disputes". He added that Chatah had focused on serving Lebanon and was placing the Lebanese people first.
