Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr last month charged 12 government employees over the illegal internet case.Fadlallah said that the government had imported equipment to improve the internet connection in the country but they haven't been operating yet.The number of DSL subscribers increased to 537,135 in 2015 from 318,750 in 2013, while Internet services providers now number 112 .The Telecoms Ministry saw an increase in internet sales revenue in 2016 following a major crackdown on illegal internet distributors.
