Lebanon's Foreign Ministry Monday denounced an assassination bid that targeted a Palestinian official in south Lebanon.Gen. Ismail Sharrouf, survived an assassination attempt in the southern city of Sidon.Sharrouf was on his way to visit Fatah official retired Brig. A statement issued by the factions said that Palestinian factions and the Palestinian Embassy in Beirut were coordinating with Lebanese security forces to uncover the circumstances of the "criminal act" and reveal the culprits behind it.
