Prime Minister Saad Hariri Monday chaired the first ministerial consultation meeting of the National Strategy for the Prevention of Violent Extremism, a statement from Hariri's media office said.The strategy aims to restore the confidence between state and society, promoting active citizenship, achieving social justice and monitoring the impact of social transformation in regards to violent extremism.Hariri gave a speech at the consultation meeting in which he outlined the mission, vision and values of the national strategy.Kaag also commended the ministerial meeting for its implementation of the national strategy, saying that the West had much to learn from Lebanon's approach to multiculturalism.
