Protesters Sunday demonstrated against the recently approved tax increases in Downtown Beirut, local media reported.The protest was called for by a number of parties including Shaab Movement, Kataeb Party, Lebanese Communist Party and a number of civil society organizations.The protesters demanded a raise to the minimum wage among other financial reforms, while denouncing the newly approved taxes. Gharib previously led demonstrations against taxes and in favor of the new wage hikes.
