A sailing competition Sunday at the Automobile and Touring Club of Lebanon (ATCL) kicked off this summer's annual Lebanese Water Festival.The organizer of the Lebanon Water Festival Simon Khoury thanked ATCL for hosting the competition.This is the sixth year that the 86-year-old retired water skier, Khoury, organized the Lebanon Water Festival. He won four silver medals and one bronze medal in the water skiing world championships between 1953 to 1963, representing Lebanon. Khoury was one on the first people to introduce and organize water skiing competitions in the Middle East and he has been the President of the Royal Jordanian Water Ski Federation for 27 years.
