The son of Nizar Zakka, a Lebanese national and U.S. permanent resident detained in Iran, testified in front of the U.S. House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee Tuesday.Omar Zakka spoke in front of the committee on behalf of Zakka's family to push for his father's unconditional release. This resolution calls for the unconditional release of U.S. nationals and legal permanent residents being held by the Iranian government for political purposes.Zakka has undertaken four previous hunger strikes since he was arrested in 2015 .
