Military admits ‘mistreatment’ of Syrians

A version of this article appeared in The Daily Star on July 27, in which The Daily Star mistakenly reported Kenneth Roth as saying that Gen. Joseph Aoun admitted to mistreatment of the four deceased Syrian detainees specifically. The article has now been corrected to more accurately reflect his comment that general mistreatment took place. 

The Daily Star regrets this error.
