Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk Thursday handed over to President Michel Aoun a study on the time required to prepare for parliamentary elections based on the proportional system.Machnouk said that a copy of the study would be handed over to Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Saad Hariri.Rivals have been discussing holding the elections based on a proposal put forward by Lebanese Forces' deputy chief MP George Adwan that calls for the adoption of a proportional voting system dividing Lebanon into 15 districts.Parliamentary elections were originally scheduled to take place between May 21 and June 21, yet political deadlock is expected to delay elections beyond June.
