BEIRUT: The following security-related incidents took place across the country over the weekend: MILITANTS CLASHThe WMC also reported that clashes between Daesh and other groups were taking place on the outskirts of Syria's Flita after the group attacked positions in the area, leaving two dead.STATE SECURITY ARRESTS TERROR SUSPECTSecurity forces arrested a man in the outskirts of the southern town of Shebaa over the weekend who was suspected of having links to terror groups, state media reported.SMUGGLING CHARGESState Security in east Lebanon arrested two Syrian nationals over the weekend suspected of smuggling people from Syria into Lebanon, the NNA reported. The suspects, identified as M.Aa. and M.H., were arrested by the agency's branch in the Bekaa Valley on charges of illegally smuggling people over the Syrian-Lebanese border. The suspects confessed that they had Lebanese and Syrian partners, according to the NNA. In a separate incident, the NNA added that State Security in the Bekaa Valley had arrested an individual identified as M.Z. on charges of smuggling people from Syria into Lebanon and vice versa.
