Driving into the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, the city's jaw-dropping historical sites were hard to ignore. With topnotch hotels, top-of-the-line touristic attractions and a coastline along the Black Sea, Georgia seems to be the next hotspot for Lebanese and international tourists. After visiting a few more churches – most notably Sioni Cathedral – we finally made our way to the hotel to relax and recharge. After visiting the church, we headed to the glamorous five-star Hotels & Preference Hualing Tbilisi. A high-rise building with a glass exterior, the hotel boasted spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a jacuzzi overlooking the town. After a long day, it was time to go back to the hotel and catch up on sleep before having to wake at 5 a.m. Sunday. On one side there were glamorous high-rise buildings and on the other were rundown apartments.A flight from Beirut to Tbilisi takes a little over two hours by plane; Wings of Lebanon will be offering direct flights from Beirut later this month.
