The tender for the electricity plan put forward by Energy and Water Minister Cesar Abi Khalil reached the government's Central Inspection Bureau's Tenders Department Thursday.The tender is now expected to be examined by the department before being sent back to Cabinet.Abi Khalil confirmed to The Daily Star Thursday that the tender is with the Tenders Department, and dismissed the critics of his plan.Both the Tenders Department and the Energy Ministry are expected to draft a report and hand the file back to the Cabinet – a process the minister expects will take three weeks to complete.
