Lebanon and Jordan might be the next targets of Daesh (ISIS) as the militant group loses its strongholds in Syria and Iraq, Speaker Nabih Berri warned Monday.Berri, who heads the union, also called for combined Arab efforts to eradicate what he dubbed the "cancer of takfiri terrorism," a reference to Daesh and other extremist groups that are wreaking havoc in some Arab countries.Berri also called for refocusing attention on the Palestinian cause, making it the Arab world's central cause. He emphasized that Palestinian national unity was essential to confront Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands.Berri officially began his tenure as head of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in March 2016 .
