Lebanon's Cabinet Friday convened in a session that is expected to witness the ratification of the long-awaited 2017 state budget.The approval of the budget by the Cabinet paves way for the Parliament to ratify of the country's fiscal plan for the first time in 12 years.The Cabinet discussions on the draft budget had been overshadowed by a split among lawmakers over financing the public sector's salary hike bill that thwarted a Parliament session last week, putting the bill into jeopardy.
