Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra Thursday said that Speaker Nabih Berri is optimistic that lawmakers will reach an agreement on a new electoral law to govern the upcoming parliamentary elections.Zahra told reporters that Berri is scheduled to call for a general discussion session for Parliament next week, which Prime Minister Saad Hariri has agreed on, to discuss the Cabinet's progress.Berri Wednesday expressed his support for a "technical" delay in parliamentary elections, following the agreement of a new elections law.Rival political groups have been debating a new voting law to replace to current 1960 majoritarian law.
