The Progressive Socialist Party's youth wing Wednesday called for protests against Energy Minister Cesar Abi Khalil's electricity reform proposal.Lebanon's Energy Ministry is reviewing bids for the lease of two additional power barges off Lebanon's coast to boost power output and cut the length and frequency of the country's electricity cuts.MP Walid Jumblatt, PSP chief and an outspoken critic of the bill, tweeted early Wednesday: "No to the Turkish barges deal," in reference to the company already providing two such ships to Lebanon.State Minister for Refugee Affairs Mouin Merehbi Tuesday condemned the electricity plan, saying "no to the electricity barges".
