Though his designation is widely endorsed, Hezbollah's bloc refrains from naming Hariri for the post. Dec. 19, 2016 – Hariri forms a 30-member national accord government, activating Lebanon's previously paralyzed executive body. March 21, 2017 – Hariri says "circumstances not ripe" for direct meetings with Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.March 30, 2017 – Hariri arrives in Riyadh for the first time since being appointed prime minister. May 17, 2017 – Hariri invited to the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh, where Aoun is disregarded.Hariri later leaves on official visit to Riyadh.Nov. 4, 2017 – Hariri announces resignation as Lebanese prime minister from Riyadh.
