When refugee displacement started to happen in a big way after the Second World War, people thought it was just an anomaly and that after a while people would go back home and things would return to normal, Moore explained.The center is a collaboration between UCL, the American University of Beirut and the Center for Lebanese Studies.The IGP insists upon the importance of two concepts: sustainable prosperity and inclusive growth, a growth distributed evenly across social groups. Its concept of prosperity includes everything that makes life worthwhile, everything that allows people to flourish in their communities.The center will work with both educators and entrepreneurs as well as implement a program of community engagement, tapping into the knowledge of those experiencing the issues the center will focus on.In the afternoon, a lecture on Inclusive Growth and Prosperity in Lebanon by Moore, followed by a panel discussion between members of UCL, AUB and the Centre for Lebanese Studies was held at the Issam Fares Institute.
