President Michel Aoun pledged Thursday to craft a larger role for the agriculture and production sector in Lebanon's economy, while meeting with a delegation from Lebanon's leading economic bodies.Choucair and the other economic bodies represented in the delegation have actively rejected any attempt at double taxation.Choucair has previously advocated for an increase in the Agriculture Ministry budget and for assistance to be lent to farmers, given the adverse impact of the Syrian conflict on Lebanon's agriculture sector.
