Minister of State for Women's Affairs Jean Ogasapian Saturday said his ministry was working on plans for a national strategy for gender equality in Lebanon to promote the status of women in all fields, according to Ogasapian's office.He announced the plans during the Economic Empowerment Forum for Women in Cairo Saturday. Organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in the Middle East and North Africa, officials from across the Arabs world gathered to discuss women's empowerment. The minister added that the plan would be finalized within the next six months.
