The Lebanese Army will protect the public, property rights and combat extremism as well as Israeli aggression, military head Gen. Joseph Aoun said Tuesday at a graduation ceremony for new officers.Aoun added that in order for the achievements of the "Fajr al-Joroud" operation to be preserved, peace and public order must be maintained.Aoun went on to say that Lebanon's territorial integrity was better-protected after the Army's victory over Daesh (ISIS) in August in an operation to expel them from Lebanon's eastern border region.
