BEIRUT: Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk Sunday criticized Lebanon's foreign policy, state media reported.Machnouk also criticized the behavior of Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil – without naming names – during a speech he made at a gathering of the Association of Islamic Graduates in Beirut. The gathering was held in honor of Machnouk's efforts to preserve Lebanon's security and stability, and to defend the rights of the Lebanese population without discrimination. This statement was made in reference to recent elections for the top position in the United Nations' cultural agency, which were ultimately won by former French culture minister Audrey Azoulay rather than Qatar's Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kawari.
