The former president of the State Shura Council Shukri Sader was removed from his post due to his involvement and work with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, MP Ahmad Fatfat alleged Tuesday.Sader was moved from his former position to the head of the Court of Cassation after Cabinet made a number of administrative appointments on Aug. 3 . Judge Sakr Sakr was appointed as the government commissioner of the Lebanese Military Tribunal in 2009, before being transferred to the position of advisor in the Court of Cassation earlier this year."Sakr Sakr and Elias Eid were the main judges who [ordered the] arrest of the four senior [Lebanese] officers originally accused of being involved in Hariri's assassination," the judicial source said. He added that this was the reasons the judges involved were later demoted to lower positions in the judiciary.
