The businessmen were welcomed on the tarmac of Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport by Machnouk just after 8 p.m. as they touched down on a privately charted flight. Escorted by security officers, Machnouk greeted the men, who were then kissed and hugged by their families and friends who had assembled for their arrival. Machnouk praised the efforts of General Security and the Internal Security Forces' Information Branch, as well as Iraqi intelligence, in working on the case. He said authorities had set up two operation rooms – one in Beirut and the other in Baghdad.
