This article has been updated to fix a miss-attributed quote taken during the panel discussion Wednesday that mistakenly reported World Bank Economist Harun Onder as saying that “We must first understand the nature of the reconstruction [of Syria], especially in the context of tyranny.” This was in fact said by Nasser Yassin, the Director of Research at the Issam Fares Institute. The Daily Star regrets this error and would like to clarify the quote was in no way associated to Mr. Onder and does not reflect his view of Syrian reconstruction.
