EU Ambassador to Lebanon Christina Lassen urged the head of the Environment Committee and Aley MP Akram Chehayeb to adopt a law integrating solid waste management during a meeting Friday, a media release from the ambassador's office said."The discussion could benefit from the experience accumulated by the private sector and the civil society in recent years," Lassen said.She added that she would offer the EU's expertise and consultation to the U.N. environment agency (UNEP), who is working with the Environment Ministry to draft a law which will provide a long-term environmental strategy.
