The first dedicated center for autistic children in Sidon opened its doors Friday.The OWS established the Ahmad Riad Jawhari Center for Autism with a donation from the Mohammad Zeidan for Development in Sidon Association. Designed to accommodate 70 children with autism under the supervision of a specialized team, the center has been furnished according to autistic children's needs. Rooms are painted different colors, as particular colors can elicit different reactions from people with autism. Makkaoui said that the center would be a place of hope for autistic children and their families.A team of specialists explained autism, the condition's symptoms, and the methods used to teach children with autism.
