Recent developments in Jerusalem and Palestine were central to President Michel Aoun's Easter message Sunday, delivered ahead of a televised service from Bkerki. The Church, among the holiest in Christendom, closed its doors in February in protest of planned Israeli tax collection on Christian properties in the holy city.Aoun was also asked whether Lebanese nationals who had previously crossed into Israel would be included in a proposed general amnesty bill, which will reportedly include Islamist prisoners and those imprisoned for petty crimes and drugs.
