Officials present plan to expand waste sorting plant in south

A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that the Ain Baal sorting plant is being funded by the United States. It is currently funded by the European Union. 

This article has also been updated to reflect that, according to the Solid Waste Management Program, the sorting plant is fully capable of treating the 300 tons of trash the area produces.
