A man who was detained Thursday for criticizing Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil on social media was released Friday on bail, but will be summoned for further questioning, his lawyer said.Speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Joumblatt said his detention came in response to an arrest warrant issued against him earlier this year, but which he never received because it was sent to an old address. His lawyer Nashaat Hasanieh told The Daily Star that Joumblatt's case was related to comments he made on Facebook when tension emerged in January between Bassil and Speaker Nabih Berri after the former called Berri a "thug". Hasanieh claimed that even when the case was referred to Hseikeh, the legal summons was sent to Joumblatt's former residence and that he was never made aware of the warrant.Hasanieh added that the verdict was annulled during the morning session after he objected to it.
