Passenger traffic at Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport increased by 5 percent in July compared to the same month last year, with the total number of passengers in 2018 reaching 5 million by the end of last month, an airport source said Friday.Transit flights, however, have decreased by 15 percent this year, with 24 flights passing through Beirut in July, according to the source. Private transit flights fell by 96 percent year-on-year with only two such flights in July. In June, 762,041 passengers passed through the airport, in a 16.7 percent increase over the passengers in June 2017 .
