A day after the government reaffirmed its decision to install meters for electricity generators, representatives of generator owners demanded fairer conditions and more transparency regarding the new pricing system, in a live interview Wednesday with local TV station Al Jadeed.Caretaker Economy Minister Raed Khoury participated in Al Jadeed's segment via phone call, saying that the pricing will be fair to both consumers and generator owners, and that generator owners will still be allowed a margin of profit.Khoury also said that, though generator owners will initially be responsible for buying the meters, they can pass the costs on to consumers in monthly installments.
