Mount Lebanon Investigative Judge Nadim al-Nashef issued an indictment Tuesday against four defendants in a child marriage case.The judge's decision added that M.Kh. had also attempted to rape, exploit and be violent toward M.T. prior to their marriage.In the case, Nashef also issued an indictment against another defendant, identified as Skeikh M.W., who allegedly oversaw the marriage, even though M.Kh. did not have the required permission from the appropriate guardian.A judicial source told The Daily Star that the judiciary has been taking measures against child marriage and abuse cases, even if they are not regularly publicized.
