Lebanon's relationship with Russia and the Syrian refugee issue were the focus of discussions between Lebanese Democratic Party leader Talal Arslan and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, a statement from the LDP reported Wednesday.During the the meeting in Moscow, Arslan praised Russia for the role it has been playing in the region, saying that if it weren't for Russia, the world would be headed to "complete destruction," the LDP statement said. Lebanon welcomed Russia's proposal for the return of Syrian refugees, and high-level meetings between Lebanese and Russian delegations were held last month.
