The bloc was referring to the political settlement that led to the election of Gen. Michel Aoun as president in October 2016 and brought Saad Hariri back to the premiership for the third time.In the meantime, Hariri struck back at critics who blame him for the delay in the formation of a new Cabinet, stressing that nothing dictates the period of government formation except the Constitution.Aoun, infuriated by the delay in the government formation, was reported to be planning to make proposals to help resolve the crisis after consulting with Hariri.Hariri said the responsibility to accelerate the formation of the government is that of all the parties. He also warned that if the government was not formed soon, he would name those obstructing its formation.Hariri said he called Aoun Monday and that the two would meet after the prime minister-designate holds further discussions with parties over Cabinet shares.
