The family of Nizar Zakka and five other families of dual and foreign nationals detained in Iran urged world leaders to pressure Iranian authorities to release the detainees, in an open letter released Monday.Zakka, a Lebanese citizen who also holds permanent residency in the U.S., was arrested in 2015 after traveling to Iran to attend a state-sponsored conference.The others mentioned in the letter were American citizen Robert Levinson, Iranian national and permanent resident of Canada Saeed Malekpour, dual Austrian-Iranian citizen Kamran Ghaderi, Swedish-Iranian scientist Ahmadreza Djalali, dual Iranian-American citizen Siamak Namazi and his father Baquer.
