Israel's escalation of the security situation in southern Lebanon should prompt officials to accelerate the Cabinet formation, Hezbollah officials said Tuesday, as the international community renewed its call for Lebanon to quickly set up a new government. While Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri has accused Hezbollah of blocking the Cabinet formation by withholding the names of its ministers and supporting a demand by six pro-Hezbollah Sunni lawmakers for representation, Fneish blamed the premier-designate for the impasse, now in its seventh month. In a statement issued after its weekly meeting chaired by MP Bahia Hariri, the bloc said Wahhab, an ex-minister and ally of the Syrian regime and Hezbollah, wanted to inflame sectarian tensions in an effort to remain far from justice.Wahhab blamed Hariri and ISF head Imad Othman for the death, while the ISF and the Future Movement have said Abu Diab had died as a result of friendly fire.Aoun implicitly deplored Wahhab's diatribes against Hariri, saying they did harm to Lebanon as a whole.
