Economy Ministry inspectors Thursday assumed control of a generator from an owner in Baabda's Chiyah who did not adhere to a law recently enacted requiring the installation of electricity consumption meters. The generator's owner, Bassem Farhat, had not complied with the decree mandating the meters' installation. Some generator owners have refused to follow the decree, claiming that the pricing the Energy Ministry sets each month, which is based on the market price of 20 liters of diesel fuel, would make their business unprofitable.
