Turkey will pledge funding for around a third of projects on the table at the upcoming Rome II and Paris IV international conferences to support Lebanon, Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced Wednesday during a visit to Ankara.The premier having arrived Tuesday, met separately with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan his Turkish counterpart Prime Minister Binali Yildirim. After the meeting, Hariri held a joint news conference with Yildirim, saying that the talks focused on strengthening the Lebanese Army and security apparatuses as well as projects for Lebanon's infrastructure. Yildirim said he updated Hariri on Turkey's offensive on the Kurdish town of Afrin in northwestern Syria.
