A man accused of killing a Lebanese Army officer in 2015 took the stand Monday, saying he didn't intend to kill Lt. Col. Rabih Kahil but was acting in self-defense.The defendant, Hisham Daou, told the court he left his house with his relative Elie Daou."There was nothing that indicated that this man was an officer because he was speaking with a lot of cursing," Hisham Daou said.He told the court that he asked Elie Daou to take a picture of the license plate, but as soon as the officer realized what was happening he got out of his car.He and Elie Daou, the defendant said, got involved in a fistfight with Kahil.
