Prime Minister Saad Hariri Tuesday called for Lebanon to have fast internet speeds in order for it to compete with what he said was "the era of technology".In November last year, Ogero's new Director Imad Kreideh laid out an ambitious project to increase Lebanon's internet speed, saying he wanted 85 percent of Lebanon's population to enjoy internet speeds above 50mbps -- more than 10 times faster than many connections today.A final project to introduce public WiFi is slated to start in the second quarter of 2018 .
