Thirteen years since a bomb detonated opposite the St. Georges Hotel, taking the life of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and 21 others, security measures are being put in place to guarantee safety on the occasion of the annual commemoration of the day.A number of public figures began commemorating the former prime minister Tuesday, including members of Hariri's own party.According to a separate statement released by Hariri's office, the prime minister received earlier in the day the head of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's Defense Office, Francois Roux, at the Grand Serail.The grand mufti described Hariri as a symbol of stability and security in Lebanon.
